Expansion of the charging infrastructure
One thing is needed first and foremost for a successful transport transition: a well-developed charging infrastructure. The energy company innogy from Essen is a pioneer in this area. Neugebauer supports them in setting up the relevant charging stations. In close cooperation, e-charging stations have already been installed at several of the company’s locations.
80 to 85 per cent of all charging processes take place when the electric car is parked anyway: parking time is charging time. It therefore makes sense to use company car parks as charging stations. Neugebauer is installing charging facilities for electric vehicles in car parks and underground garages at innogy SE. This makes it attractive for employees to use an electric vehicle and makes a relevant contribution to reducing particulate matter, nitrogen oxide and sulphur oxide pollution in cities.
